The location of this hostel was absolutely breathtaking - surrounded by nature and with stunning views of the mountains. It was the perfect getaway for a Christmas holiday. The cozy and beautifully decorated rooms made me feel right at home, and the friendly and accommodating staff added an extra touch of warmth to the experience. the meals provided were absolutely delicious, showcasing local flavors and ingredients. It was a true culinary delight.
That the rooms could get a bit chilly, especially in winter. However, this was easily remedied with the heating provided, making it a minor inconvenience.

Immaculately decorated farmhouse with cozy futons and peaceful surroundings. The hosts were super accommodating, provided a delicious dinner, and offered a free shuttle service to the nearby station.
The breakfast options were a bit limited and repetitive during my three-day stay.

The B&B is conveniently situated right in the middle of the Nakasendo trail, making it perfect for leisurely hikers who want to explore the 25km between Magome and Nojiri. the common area is tastefully decorated, creating a cozy atmosphere, and offers a great view of the surrounding mountain area. the duvet is light and comfortable, ensuring a good night's sleep.
The portion of dinner is light and vegetarian only, which might not be sufficient for those who have been hiking and need to replenish their energy. It is recommended to bring additional food.

We stayed at Yui-An for one night and instantly wished we had planned our trip so that we had booked this place for longer time! The interior is stylish yet keeps the traditional details of the beautiful 200-year old house. The staff are welcoming and gave us a tour and history of the house and location. The bath made out of hinoki wood was a unique touch. The common area is a library full of cool books, and there's a kitchen to make meals if needed. Highly recommended for a calm and meditative experience.
Couldn't recommend this hotel more.
